Rosalyn Citta dove into the world of jewelry design when she was still studying fashion. When she went to school in Milan, she realized how commercial fashion is; meanwhile, her crafting style leans more towards artistry. Because of that, Rosalyn prefers to be considered as an artisan or an artist instead of a designer. In her craft, Rosalyn holds on to the Japanese philosophy, "Wabi Sabi", which believes that imperfection is beauty. This imperfect and natural beauty can be seen in the metal jewelry that Rosalyn makes. Through an oxidation process, metal jewelry pieces possess an expressive texture and color. Rosalyn still uses traditional methods when crafting her jewelry, which she does in her workshops at Menteng and Cimahi.
