Stella Rissa

STELLARISSA is the eponymous label of Indonesian designer Stella Rissa. Born and raised in Jakarta, Stella had shown her interest in fashion from an early age. To her, Jakarta's diversity and colorfulness woke up the creative potential in her. Determined to have a carrier in fashion, Stella decided to study at LaSalle College International School. Her creativity, talent, and disciplined work ethos earned her an award from her campus: "2006 Best of the Best Student Award", which gave her access to a training course in LaSalle College Montréal. In 2008, STELLARISSA launched its first collection, 'Dancing in the Rainbow'. The collection did well, and STELLARISSA was then invited to participate in the 2008 Malaysia International Fashion Week and the 2009 Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore. In 2010, STELLARSSA was picked as one of the Dewi Fashion Knights in Jakarta Fashion Week. A year later, Stella opened up her first boutique in Grand Indonesia, and her works also became available at Galeries Lafayette Indonesia, Pacific Place. Later on, in 2014, the STELLARISSA studio was built in Central Jakarta to give Stella's creativity space to expand. In 2016, Stella, who at this point has gained a reputation as one of the nation's best designers, joined IPMI (Ikatan Perancang Mode Indonesia), an exclusive association for Indonesian designers.
